Show section name in both Home and Tasks Tabs
complete

Under both the Home and Tasks tabs - is there a way to show the Card title for each task too?
It’s not under the ‘Show’ section in Tasks - so I’m assuming that we can’t, but it seems dumb that it’s not an option so I wanted to check.
A lot of my tasks are named the same thing, (like “design layout”) and the description is in the card title - which makes these tabs a bit useless for me - and I’m assuming it would be the same for a bunch of other users too.
It would be a mission to add the project title to every task within every card.
At the moment, I’m just clicking ‘Open task’ on each individual thing if I want to know what it is - but this doesn’t help me to see everything at a glance and is time consuming.
Hope that all makes sense!

This request is twofold. We've added Section information to task lists. This is available through the Show Menu by toggling on "Show Metadata". The metadata will show the team, project, and section a task belongs to.
We've also added the request to show Sections in the Home tab to our research on a larger Home tab update.

This covers a couple of different large scale projects we have planned. As one of those projects hasn't been fully planned we're moving this post to Under Review for a more accurate label.

Thanks for all of the feedback. We're going to add the ability to show each task's path — meaning the project, section, and parent task — to the Show menu.

I COMPLETELY agree with all of this. If there is no way for the team member to see the overall project title at the same time as they are seeing subtask they are assigned, it makes using Flow essentially pointless and confusing.
Seconding what Trent said - to go back through every single subtask assigned to every parent task and adding the overall project title to the subtasks would take hours upon hours of work to submit for the thousands of tasks our team has in Flow.
It is crucial that we do not lose this functionality. If we do, we'll have to move on to a different project management software.

YES! Just sent this to someone yesterday too as feedback. This program no longer works for our team if that is not a feature that exists - our team has all the same subtasks in each project, so basically they have no idea what they are working on. Pretty bummed they removed that. See my notes in the attached for more details.

Hi @Trent Stievano! Just to clarify- you're wanting the project each task exists in to be displayed in the Home and Tasks tabs? In the Tasks tab you should see a project column which tells you which project each task belongs to. Were you wanting to see that view also in Home or are you wanting to see the task note displayed without having to open the task?

@Regan: Thanks Regan, at the moment, one of my designers has the same task named "Design Layout" for several elements within the same project - she can see the sub-task name, project and there is the "Show" button to show and hide certain info - is it possible to have the option to "Show/Hide" the task 'Section' and task 'Main Task/Card' name. see attached for what my designer currently sees.

This is from my designer: I would like both the Task (we internally call them cards) and the Sub Task to be displayed on the Home and Tasks tab - At the moment if I am not assigned to the overall Task, but am assigned Sub Tasks under that task, on the Home and Tasks tab I can only see the Sub Task where I would like to see both the Sub Task and the overall Task title.

@Trent Stievano: Thanks for clarifying! I'll review this with the team.

@Regan: Thank you - really appreciate it.
