  1. Workspace ICONS to return in new FLOW

I really miss the Workspace Icons. They made is so much easier to quickly navigate between Workspaces because you could upload a logo. They were visual and made the whole space feel like my own. Now it's way too generic. PLEASE bring back the icons!

Thanks for the feedback! For the time being, Workspaces will remain as is but we are planning on reviewing the comments and feedback we’ve received about the new update and this will receive point will definitely receive some attention. We will keep you posted!

    • Time Tracking Integration

Flow currently support time tracking via Harvest. I would like to see integration with other time-tracking services, such as Paymo, Timecamp, or Toggl. Or better yet, build time tracking into Flow as a native feature, so that another tool is not required.

      • Download all attachments

Frequently we'll attach multiple PDFs to a task and it's proving tedious to other users having to open each pdf and save one at a time. My thought was to have the ability to download all/multiple attachments from a post.

As much as we want to build this, we haven’t been able to stick it into our jam-packed plans. We’ll keep an eye on it though! :)

        • Sync w/ Calendar

It would be perfect to be able to sync Flow w/ Google Calendar, iCal, or Outlook, so that each team member see other team members' meetings and availability.

And also while assigning a task, currently users are only able to set due date. But, start date may also be relevant for planning.

          • Project Level Communication

For us it's very important to discuss on Project Level.
So a Project-Chat would be very nice.

Yes, we could just create a Chatroom for each Project, but this is not verry comfortable.

            Suggestion:
            - in the Project-View, there should be a "Chat-Icon"
            - the first click on this icon automaticaly creates a (special) Chatroom with same settings as the project (private/public; involved people/subscribers) and opens it in the right pane of the project view
            - once the Project-Chatroom is created, the Chat should be displayed in the right-pane of the Project-View (if no task is selected) (maybe, in the…

We may do this next year, and already have designs for it. There are a handful of other exciting things pushing this out and it doesn’t have an exact spot on our roadmap yet.

            • Chat rooms related to projects

With the new Chat functionality, it'd be great to have a chat related to a project (or at least a workspace) - this would allow the team to chat in context not have to go to a different space. Ideally, a third pane or some way of keeping the context would be good (stuffed if I know how you'd implement that...). Our early experimentation with the chat function is that it feels a little disconnected from the projects.

We’d love to bring discussions closer to projects. This is something we’re planning to do. Thanks!

              • Avoid tasks to inherit "by default" owner, subscribers, and tags by the parent task.

Having sub task inherit "by default" owner, subscribers, and tags by the parent task is a real pain because this "over proliferate" tasks assigned (or subscribed) to people.

I'm sure many people has checked "Assigned to Me" view after the latest release and found much much more tasks than expected (that in fact are "just subtasks").

                This is extremely inconvenient.

We think that assign a sub-tasks to other people is a common case, but at the same way most of the sub tasks usually should stay on the task owner.
Make it explicit is redundant, and cause the problem above,…

                • Task status and status transitions like Redmine, Jira

We use Redmine for developing software, and there's a possibility to design task statuses, transitions, etc.

Flow is missing this great feature and it would be totally acceptable if we had at least some fixed task statuses, like

                  Open
                  In Progress
                  Done

Hey there! This isn’t on our roadmap for the foreseeable future, but another option that might tie you over for now is Kanban/sections. Using Kanban/project sections, you can actually create the statuses that each of the tasks in your project must move through before the project can be completed. These articles has a few will walk you through these two views:

                    https://www.getflow.com/support/projects/sections/
                    https://www.getflow.com/support/projects/using-kanban/

Hope this helps in the meantime!

                  • Ability to quickly add new tasks to Flow without having to switch focus to app first

In previous iterations of the Flow app it was possible with a keyboard shortcut to add a new task immediately. The most recent release now requires switching the focus to the app before adding a new task. This makes it difficult to quickly add new tasks when working in other applications.

                    • Don't clear tasks for everyone on the team - leave it up to individual preference

Me and everyone on my team would prefer if clearing the tasks wouldn't clear them for everyone, only for the user that cleared them. Sometimes we have QA checking the completed tasks before clearing them, and it already happened multiple times that someone cleaned the tasks to have a better overview for themselves and didn't expect them to be cleared for everybody.

                      • Bulk duplication (tasks and sections)

The various jobs (or projects in Flow-speak) that we work on could have anywhere from 1 to up to 50 pieces (or sections) with the same steps (or tasks). I’ve made a template for a project with one generic section but would love to be able to copy the section and tasks in that section.

I have a little feature request torwards focus mode. We are a company that considers it paramount that our employees can shut down completely from work while they are in holidays.

So we would love to see the focus mode extended to be also a holiday mode. For this to happen we would need to features:

                          2. When someone sets me as the owner of the task while I am in focus mode there should be an alert "user not available for assignements…

                          • Maintain Completed Tasks In All Boards

From My Tasks, it's great that theres the button to Clear Completed Tasks from a user's view, however it's also being cleared from the Completed Section on the kanban/column view board. Oddly in the Split View board it generates itself a duplicated Completed section below our original Completed section (see screen shot). This is currently my only way to return back to a completed tasks that someone on my team has cleared from their My Tasks page. This has been very problematic within our team, they don't want to see a long running list of completed tasks in My Task,…

While we don’t plan to do this immediately, there is currently a workaround: try searching for the person’s name in the search bar, and you’ll be able to see all the tasks where they were mentioned in the search results.

Is it possible to add functionality that allows for task sorting in the overview workspace? Right now, whenever you try to drag a task within the overview workspace, the action is disabled. It's really help to prioritize the day's tasks across all workspaces.

Our team absolutely loves the "Catch Up" feature except for one thing...

When a task is engaged with at all, it automatically goes to the "Read" section. This is a nightmare for our project managers who may quickly glance through their unread messages, but not have time at the moment to reply to.

It’s obvious that the sidebar is hurting your ability to focus on what’s most important to you. We’re interested in making projects easier to group and filter, and helping you cut out the noise. Plans to fix this are early stage at this point, but it’s on our radar. Thanks!

                                    • More list sorting options (creation date, activity date, etc)

Would be nice to be able to sort by "creation date"

                                      • Enable moving a Section into a new Project

Currently you can not move a Section into a new Project (acc to Support). Given that Sections are supersets of Tasks, being able to transfer them between projects would be very helpful. Dragging it would probably be the best way to do that.

This isn’t a feature that’s on our radar just yet, so thanks for the feedback! In the meantime, one easy way to move sections and/or the tasks in those sections over to new projects is to duplicate the project. This will carry over all the sections, tasks, and task assignees, but not due dates or comments. If you find yourself using the same sections over and over again, it might be helpful to create a project that functions just as a sections template. That way, when you need to create new projects that use those sections, you just need to duplicate the template and start adding tasks to the pre-populated sections. This article will walk you through the steps: https://www.getflow.com/support/projects/duplicating-projects/
Hopefully this will help a bit!

                                        • Stop requiring a project for all tasks

Unfortunately, now that tasks always have a prefix of "Private Tasks" in the calendar view, the view has become very unreadable.

Also, the requirement to always have a project with each tasks slows down entering tasks significantly.

                                          These changes should be reverted.

I see what you’re saying – the project name (Private Task) listed with the task can look cluttered. The problem is that not including the project name can lead to confusion too. This is something we are not likely to change anytime soon but it does make sense to take a look at it in the future.
