When pasting multiple lines in a list, create one task per new line. Makes it easier to add items from an IM conversation, email thread, or importing from other project management tools17 votes
We don’t have any near future plans for this specific feature.
Currently, the inbox is in a workspace - which means that I have to assign an email to the workspace and then awkwardly move tasks around. I want to be able to easily move tasks from an inbox to wherever they need to be - so having an inbox that all my stuff goes into that's then drag and dropped to the right list/workspace would be great.
While we can see why you’d want to do this, we don’t have plans to create a global inbox.
We are using the group feature to group smaller projects that belong to a bigger, umbrella project. We initially started with several teams, but ended up having to do a lot of work to move our groups from those extra teams back to one team as we found that moving tasks between teams wasn't possible. The ability to move and duplicate an entire group to a new team would be very helpful! Thank you!12 votes
While this is not on our roadmap at this time, we’ll definitely keep it in mind for future updates. For now, you can, if you haven’t already, use the “move projects between workspaces” feature, as well as project duplication, which you can learn about in these two articles: https://www.getflow.com/support/projects/duplicating-projects/
As I understood it is possible to export the workspace all projects tasks (both completed and opened) only to HTLM format.
We know how to export project by project to CSV, but we need to export the workspace to CSV. Please offer us a solution.6 votes
Thanks for the suggestion. This isn’t in our near term plans, but we’ll keep an eye on it.
Need ability to sort by due date in Kanban view and Section view.
Would be great to show due dates in Kanban view as well (without having to open a task to check).29 votes
Thanks for the suggestion! It makes a lot of sense to be able to use Kanban and due dates together so we’ll definitely consider this going forward
Many task programs have an import/export feature. I have not been able to find one here. An easy import feature would give users incentive to move from other platforms (RTM, Google, etc) I currently have hundreds of notes that have been sitting in a file on my computer. If I were to be able to import them they could turn into tasks. I am not willing to do it one at a time. Too busy.54 votes
We don’t have plans to build this at this point, but we’re definitely keeping it in mind—especially if it would help with account setup.
Our team has too many unactionable tasks in our Teama because they are dependant upon other tasks being completed!
teamwork.com has the amazing ability to create "dependancies" for tasks (though their implementation is much more clunky than I'm sure Flow could do it). What they do is make the task uncheckable until the primary task is first completed. I think you should take this a step further and move the dependent task out of view (maybe grayed out at the bottom of the list).135 votes
We have no near-future plans to offer this feature.
It'd be great if you could divide private tasks into sections as well.
That way, you can keep some personal things as well as work related things there, or seperate into seperate projects or ideas... or whatever you can think of.12 votes
Great idea! For now, you can make a project private and sections will be there for you "_
Show an attachment icon similar to the link icon or tag icon when an attachment is included with a task.7 votes
Many of my colleagues complain that it is not possible to assign an exact time to a task, is this something that you plan for in the future?236 votes
We still have no plans to add exact times to due dates.
It would be perfect to be able to sync Flow w/ Google Calendar, iCal, or Outlook, so that each team member see other team members' meetings and availability.
And also while assigning a task, currently users are only able to set due date. But, start date may also be relevant for planning.20 votes
We don’t have plans for this at this point in time, but certainly recognize its utility.
When a task gets too big and actually needs to become a project, there should be a button or feature that allows us to promote the task to a project.5 votes
We don’t plan to add that feature. But I’m wondering what makes you hesitate to create a fresh project separately. Care to share?
Would be nice to have the option to manage tags more actively. A separate page or sidebar that allows you to add, edit, or delete unused tags would be ideal.46 votes
We don’t have plans to turn tags into a manageable collection of options that can be edited or deleted. As it stands now, tags disappear from auto-completion when there are no longer any open tasks with those tags.
I generally like the layout of Flow - however.... there are times when I would like to reduce the overall space and size particularly on long lists. I'd like to be able to amend some of the UI and look and feel, nothing too fancy, even just three settings for Expanded, Cosy, Compact that squish things up would be nice.
We are located in Germany and we have Consultants throughout Europe. Translations would be very nice!65 votes
While we would love to offer localization in future updates, we’re still a small team that is unable to offer support in those languages as well. We will absolutely revisit this feature when we have the resources needed to make it really amazing.
Currently you can not move a Section into a new Project (acc to Support). Given that Sections are supersets of Tasks, being able to transfer them between projects would be very helpful. Dragging it would probably be the best way to do that.25 votes
This isn’t a feature that’s on our radar just yet, so thanks for the feedback! In the meantime, one easy way to move sections and/or the tasks in those sections over to new projects is to duplicate the project. This will carry over all the sections, tasks, and task assignees, but not due dates or comments. If you find yourself using the same sections over and over again, it might be helpful to create a project that functions just as a sections template. That way, when you need to create new projects that use those sections, you just need to duplicate the template and start adding tasks to the pre-populated sections. This article will walk you through the steps: https://www.getflow.com/support/projects/duplicating-projects/
Hopefully this will help a bit!
I really miss the Workspace Icons. They made is so much easier to quickly navigate between Workspaces because you could upload a logo. They were visual and made the whole space feel like my own. Now it's way too generic. PLEASE bring back the icons!28 votes
Thanks for the feedback! For the time being, Workspaces will remain as is but we are planning on reviewing the comments and feedback we’ve received about the new update and this will receive point will definitely receive some attention. We will keep you posted!
The current Week view shows week after week, so it's more like a "months", or "weeks", view. Can we have a "single week" view, in order to focus on the current week and nothing else? It's my most used view on the current Flow.19 votes
While we have removed the old Month view and renamed this week view the Month view, we have no plans at this point in time to offer a one-week view. We recognize the desire to focus on a week at a time and are considering other solutions.
I have had a very frustrating experience with Getflow's support so far in that there is no one you can talk to over the phone. For those of us that are less technically inclined, discussing technical matters in the delayed communication form of email is extremely challenging and frustrating. I would highly, highly recommend adding the ability to call (or at least chat) with support.4 votes
Still no plans to add phone support, but we’ll keep an eye on this request. For what it’s worth, our response times continue to decline. We’re also dedicating more resources to improving the Support Center to help with immediate answers to questions.
Sometimes you want to assign a task to a person that is not using flow. You do not want to invite that person as they might not work that much with you. But you want to assign one task to them.
It would be great, if you could assign Tasks to "email addresses" and those people have the possibility to comment and check off the tasks without creating a flow account and without logging in. They just click on a link in their email message, review the task and later check it off with the same link.127 votes
This isn’t on our roadmap just yet, but we’re definitely interested in making it easier to loop in non-Flow users in the future.
