Would love to have a Kanban view for Project Groups in which each card shown is a Project rather than a specific task. That way you could get a high level overview of what phase(s) each project is in without having to look at a huge list of individual tasks.64 votes
Development on this has begun.
Would be great to be able to route tasks in from Basecamp, Google tasks, CRM, Box.com and all the other places that feed us tasks. Zapier integration or maybe Piesync would accomplish that, thus making Flow the authoritative “task hub” on our team.89 votes
We’ve started preliminary work on this integration. I’ll let you know when this is live.
I'm not asking for a complete API. Just send a POST/GET request when a task is created, changed or deleted. That would make possible for many developers integrate with other solutions.
Just to name it: Slack (witch you at Metalabs are familiar, i think) has a PERFECT api and so easy integration. Why don't you bring the same to Flow?56 votes
Webhooks are part of the Public API scope, and that project is well under way. We’re hoping to ship in June. We’ll keep you posted.
I live on planes without wifi. I'd love to be able to at least view existing, mark completed and add tasks while offline. When online, all the syncing and delegation happens. Please!!308 votes
We’re building our new iOS app to handle offline interactions. We do not have any short term plans for the web app to support an offline mode.
It would be great to get away from the starkness of blue and white. I would love to be able to customize my Groups and even projects by colors. On top of that, customization of task colors or even varied color flags (yellow, red, green) would be nice. I understand that the simplicity of Flow is one of it's differentiators, but every team works differently and sometimes having these customization tools would be highly beneficial.57 votes
In month-view, tasks for whole team could be easily distinguishable.42 votes
We would like our in house system to talk to Flow and be able to search for, create, delete, and modify tasks.576 votes
Hi! As you may have seen, we’re getting very close to a public API. But we need your help!
If having a Flow public API is important to you, please take a couple minutes to fill out this short survey and let us know what you’re looking for. It would be a big help:
And if you’d like to hop on the list for early beta access, head to app.getflow.com/preferences and look for the beta opt in. We’ll also send out an email to beta participants when beta access becomes available.
Really really loving Flow so far. Definitely summed up with the image on your landing page that the other PM tools are too light or total overkill.
One thing we would really like would be a setting that allows only _completed_ tasks to be posted to a Slack channel. This lets everyone know that people are being productive without junking up the channel too much with messages about tasks / dates being _created/set_
This will likely go out tomorrow.
We really need to be able to *easily* move TASKS between teams - e.g. drag and drop them or select and change the team. This should be able to be locked down by user if they don’t have access to a team - but it’s too easy to create a task in the wrong team and then have to fiddle around to move it89 votes
Design is beginning on this next week.
The projects spanning dates on the calendar are great. It would be nice to be able to manually color-code the projects yourself, so each user in the calendar can have a separate color for their individual projects.12 votes
This is being developed now.
It would be nice if you could tick a project as 'completed'. Archive doesn't really make sense.7 votes
We’re making this change soon.
Hey I noticed that the new rules for subtasks has changed the way that you can view things in the "assigned to me'' section. There is no way to collapse the subtasks in that view. It is really frustrating. That is the section I mainly use to manage my daily tasks and it's now flooded with subtasks that are seemingly not even listed near their corresponding main tasks. Can you guys change that to be similar to how it works in calendar view? Thanks.7 votes
We’re working on a solution for making this more clear. Because parent task owners can be different from subtask owners we’re unable to nest subtasks in this view. But we think we’ve got a tweak that’ll make this thing a bit easier to parse. Hang tight.
i like the new subtask features, but we definitly need one change:
Please don't show every subtasks in the lists, when the owner of subtask and parent task are the same. Our task lists are now crowded with subtasks. It's very confusing, because these subtasks often have the same name. Or no clear name without the context of the parent task.
I hope you can implement some kind of filter here, because my team members are pretty .. unhappy at the moment ;)
We’ve started on a fix for this. Should be out early next week. Thanks for your patience.
Generally when I am scanning the dashboard, it is to keep up to date with what others on my team are doing. It would be really helpful ti have a filter which does all activity except my own for that use case.21 votes
We’ve started work on a dashboard that is better at helping you process the tasks that need your attention. A bonus is that it not longer repeats what you know you said.
Hi! One of the tasks that we use Flow for is keeping track of accounts payable through each stage of the process. When setting payment due dates on invoices (which may be, for example, due in 30 days), it would be great to be able to see dates prior to the current date in the calendar - this would be super helpful, for example, when assigning due dates on an invoice that I might have received a few days earlier than I'm creating the task.1 vote
Thanks for the suggestion! That definitely sounds like a good use case for seeing past calendar dates.
I wish you could search the dashboard for comments only. Even better would be only comments directed at you. That would really help!4 votes
We’re working on making it easier for you to process all of the tasks and comments that need your attention. Watch for it this summer!
It would be great to see what tasks I have coming up that will be due. that way I wouldn't have to go into the program just to see what three or four things I have due soon.6 votes
As the Teams Leader, I like to acknowledge completed tasks by "liking them". If I miss a day or two, It can be cumbersome to scroll through the dashboard to find all the completed tasks to like. Maybe there is a way you could make completed tasks stand out more, or filter the dashboard to see only content that has been liked/not liked.
We’ve started work on a simplified Dashboard that groups relevant activity and brings it to your attention in a way that’s easy to work through quickly. We’ll keep you updated.
Limit items on the dashboard to completed tasks, comments added to tasks, and task assignments (when a person is assigned a task, or ownership changes). Do not include new tasks that have been created. Recently I added 6 tasks to a project and they cluttered the dashboard. Dashboard should be a quick read.6 votes
We’ve started on a simplified Dashboard that’s easier to read and carries more relevant information.
We would like a way to look at a newsfeed of "My Tasks" of just the things that have been updated1 vote
We’re working on a more efficient way to process tasks that need your attention. Watch for it this summer! :)
